Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PCDoc (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What we provide
PCDoc offers free educational content about fixing Windows and PC issues, reviews of PC software tools, driver guides, and access to an optional paid remote technical support service provided by our partner technicians. The content is for general informational purposes only.
2. No warranty — use at your own risk
PC troubleshooting carries inherent risk. While we test our guides, every computer and configuration is different. Steps such as editing the registry, changing system files, or reinstalling drivers can cause data loss or system instability if done incorrectly.
The Site and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We strongly recommend backing up your data before attempting any fix. You are solely responsible for any action you take based on our content.
3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PCDoc and its partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including data loss, hardware damage, or lost profits — arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.
4. Remote support service
Paid remote support is provided by our partner technicians under a separate engagement. Remote sessions are started only with your explicit permission, and you may end a session at any time. Pricing, scope, and access method are confirmed before any session begins. Where we cannot resolve a software issue, you are not charged, as described on the Get Help page. Hardware repair and physical work are outside the scope of remote support.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on the Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. This never affects our editorial recommendations. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, guides, graphics, and logos — is owned by PCDoc or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may view and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute substantial portions without our written permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to disrupt it, access it through automated means at scale, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
8. Third-party content
The Site links to third-party websites and tools that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. We are not affiliated with Microsoft, Apple, or any product manufacturer.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
